Shareholders are advised that following the quarterly review of the FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index by the JSE Limited, Murray & Roberts will no longer be a constituent of that index effective Monday 22 December 2008. The Group will in future form part of the FTSE/JSE Mid Cap Index.

ORDER BOOK AND PROSPECT PIPELINE  - 8 December 2008
Murray & Roberts is pleased to announce that the Al Habtoor Murray & Roberts Takenaka Joint Venture has been awarded the contract for Concourse 3 at Dubai International Airport for the Department of Civil Aviation. The project value is about AED5 billion, with Murray & Roberts as project leader and its 40% share valued at about ZAR6 billion. The contract will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion within 29 months by end-April 2011.

MIDDLE EAST ORDER BOOK - 1 December 2008
Murray & Roberts and its partner Leighton Habtoor were advised on Sunday 30 November 2008 that subject to contract, the Trump Towers project in Dubai would be suspended by its developer Nakheel until such time as the global economic system stabilises. The 50% value of this contract in the Group Order Book at 30 September 2008 amounted to R 3,2 billion, of which R 0,5 billion relates to the current financial year.

UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN WINS THE 2008 MURRAY & ROBERTS DES BAKER AWARD  - 27 August 2008
Christopher Bisset and Julia Hundermark of the University of Cape Town were named the winners out of 25 entries of the 2008 Murray & Roberts Des Baker Student Architecture Design Competition. The award was handed to Christopher and Julia at a function attended by some 800 people, held at Woodlands Farm on the outskirts of Bloemfontein on Monday evening, 25 August 2008.

FATAL ACCIDENT AT GOLD FIELDS SOUTH DEEP MINE - 2 May 2008
Murray & Roberts Holdings Limited regrets to confirm that eight of its employees died tragically in a shaft accident on 1 May 2008 when a personnel cage in which they were being transported at about 2880 metres underground at South Deep Gold Mine west of Johannesburg, fell almost 60 metres. All nine occupants of the cage, including an employee of the mine itself, died instantly in the accident.

THE SOUTH AFRICAN POWER SITUATION - 28 January 2008
Approximately two thirds of Murray & Roberts business activity occurs within South Africa, which has been subjected to an irregular and unscheduled spate of electricity shedding by state power utility Eskom since mid-January 2008. SENS Release
